The Story

Why I coach.

A car hit me on the way home from school. The foot injury never fully healed, and it ended any chance of playing professionally. What I remember isn't the injury — it's that nobody at the club knew what to do next.

01The gap

I played football from an early age. Then, walking home from school, a car hit me. The foot injury that followed never fully recovered, and professional football stopped being possible.

The injury itself isn't the part that stayed with me. It's what came after. There was no rehab at the club, no plan, no strength work. You were sent to run around, and when you felt ready, you were back in the game. Nobody asked whether you actually were.

The coach who could have helped me didn't exist. So I decided to become him.

02Learning the job properly

I did the work to make sure the answer existed for the next person. A bachelor's degree in physical education and sport, then certifications that kept adding to it — and clients from 2012 onward who taught me the rest.

Three years in Montenegro as a personal coach and a strength and conditioning coach in the CFL league. Five years in the United States. Five years and counting in Riyadh, where I coach at one of the most advanced fitness clubs in the world.

03What the clients taught me

My first client was a woman with no training background at all. Watching her go from uncertain to moving freely showed me something I hadn't expected: this matters most to the people furthest from it.

My first two athletes pulled me toward performance work, and that became the other half of what I do. In recent years it's the large transformations that drive me.

One man in his forties started at 147kg. Sixteen months later he was 88kg — and not the shrunken, exhausted version people picture. He kept his muscle. He came out of it strong, fit, confident, an athlete in how he lives.

04Basics, done properly

I don't complicate exercises so they look better on Instagram.

I will always choose clean push-ups over BOSU ball variations.

Done correctly, for long enough, the plain things outwork the clever ones. That's the whole method: structure, progression, and honesty about where you are right now.

05Who I work with

Anyone who needs the help. Coming back from injury, losing a significant amount of weight, chasing performance in a sport, or wanting to still move well in thirty years. The starting point changes. The approach doesn't.

I turn 40 this August, and I've spent more than half my working life on a gym floor. Whatever you bring me, I've probably stood next to it before.

Start where you actually are.

Four structured programs, from a first month in the gym to a competitive season. If you're not sure which one, message me and I'll tell you straight.
